FIELD TRIPS MAY BE A PART OF CURRICULUM (drop-off & pick-up will be at the selected location)
SPACES LIMITED, REGISTER EARLY! Approximately (6-8) students per class. Cost is per participant. All participants must register on-line prior to sessions or by appointment. There will be a waiting list available, when applicable. *Instructor make up classes: production, illness or weather related concerns.
PRE-REQUISITES/DESCRIPTIONS:
Creatives I: Beginners
Creatives II: Advanced Beginners with basic knowledge of ISO, manual focus selection, camera menu manipulation and experimenting with shutter/aperture priorities and manual mode.
Creatives III: Intermediate Level with full working knowledge and/or brushing up - utilizing the exposure triangle in manual mode.
Creatives IV: Advanced Level with full working knowledge and/or brushing up - utilizing the exposure triangle in manual mode. Focus becomes styles, Genres and the application of complex compositions.
***If the student has prior experience, please contact Deborah Grosmark. We can discuss a suitable class level.
Certain advanced beginner, intermediate, pre-professional & professional classes include experiential learning along with guest speakers, talent, field trips and/or opportunities for imagery publication. Selected lessons may have additional facility/model fees.
The CAC of HV will provide a camera for on-site instruction. A flash drive at least 16GB is required for daily image storage and will be returned after the final session. If preferred, you may bring a personal laptop. We require comfortable and weather-related clothing, with a sneakers or a safe flat-soled shoe for outdoor shooting and greaseless outdoor bug spray. . Each participant should bring their own filled drinking bottle, small note pad & pencil. Since regulations state that we can not share a drinking fountain/cooler, bottled water will be available for $1. See FAQ for more details.
